BOSTON (CBS)- New England Patriots fan favorite Julian Edelman stands out in any crowd, yet somehow he has more than a few lookalikes.
The Hall at Patriot Place is calling all Edelman doppelgangers for an online photo contest that's drawn several dozen entries.
Edelman, a wide receiver, dominates headlines not only with his athletic feats but his antics too.
"He's a great player," look-a-like Beau Pickett told WBZ-TV. "I follow him on Instagram and he's a people person."
Pickett says people tell him regularly that he looks like number 11. When a family friend sent the Facebook contest link, Pickett snapped a selfie and hit enter.
Others, like Adam Powell of Haverhill, were volunteered for the contest by loved ones.
"My wife submitted the picture," admitted the die-hard Pats fan. Powell recently shaved off his beard that has become a trademark for Edelman in the playoffs. "It gets so itchy and you're scratching it the whole time!"
Derek Maslowski of Chelsea let his mother upload a collage of pictures showing several angles with a striking resemblance to Edelman. His secret weapon might be in the haircut though. It's styled to specifications emailed directly from Edelman's California salon.
"I liked his [Edelman's] cut and he tagged his barber in an Instagram post," Maslowski explained of how he got in touch to ask for Edelman's hair tricks.
The lookalike contest is open until Super Bowl Sunday. The winner receives a helmet signed by the star player. To enter: CLICK HERE
