Patriots Cut CB Springs
The Patriots announced Tuesday that they have released veteran CB Shawn Springs. As a free agent in 2009, Springs signed a 3-year contract with the Patriots worth about $10 Million and earned $4.55 million last season. He played in 12 games with eight starts, finishing with 39 total tackles, and one interception.
The team also announced the signing of sixth-round draft choice OL Ted Larsen.
