Off-Duty Police Officer Attacked By Intruder In Duxbury Home
DUXBURY (CBS) – Police are looking for the man who broke into a police officer's house in Duxbury Monday afternoon.
The man kicked in the front door and ran straight to the upstairs bedroom where the officer was sleeping.
He woke up and struggled with the intruder who then took off. "There was some pushing and shoving and the suspect obviously thought better of it and got out of the house," says Duxbury Police Chief Matt Clancy.
State Police K-9 units were called in to try and pick up the suspect's trail and a reverse 911 call went out to Duxbury residents.
The officer's wife and kids were not home at the time.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 200 pounds and may be responsible for other home invasions in Duxbury and Kingston.
