NightSide - Are Criminal Immigrants More Dangerous Than ICE Lets On?

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Globe has conducted an investigation into cases involving arrested immigrants who were released instead of being deported. Despite assurance from ICE that these criminals would not be a threat, the Globe uncovered a staggering statistic. From 2008 to 2012, thirty percent of criminal immigrants who were released instead of being deported reoffended, committing crimes including rape, attempted murder, and child molestation. Maria Saccehtti, who covers immigration issues for The Boston Globe, checks in with Dan to explain these numbers and the policies that led us here.
