Giant Cable Spool Smashes Into Fence, Pole In Newton
NEWTON (CBS) -- A giant spool of cable rolled off of a work truck and damaged a telephone pole Tuesday afternoon.
The spool went downhill on Chestnut Street, hitting a fence before striking the pole just after noon.
The Newton Fire Department said nobody was injured, and no other property was damaged.
They also said the spool didn't fall from a city vehicle.
