Mega Millions: No Winner, Jackpot Now $290 Million
UNDATED (AP) -- There were many ways to ring in the New Year but nobody did it by getting filthy rich from the Mega Millions lottery New year's Eve.
The multi-state Mega Millions lottery game sported a giant jackpot which grew from $237 million to $242 million based on a boost from heavy ticket sales.
But it's now 15 straight bi-weekly drawings without a top winner and the estimated jackpot for the Jan. 4 drawing will be $290 million.
Mega Millions is played in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
