MBTA Commuter Rail Train Evacuated In Framingham
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – A commuter rail train was evacuated in Framingham Wednesday morning for about a half-an-hour.
The Framingham-Worcester line was heading inbound to Boston when it was stopped at the station on Route 135. Police cleared it out and searched the train.
"A man at Southboro Station suggested people not board the next train," MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told WBZ-TV.
Southboro is two stops before Framingham on the inbound line.
The MBTA police tweeted,"We appreciate our riders patience during our responses to suspicious or unattended items."
There were no arrests. The train continued on to South Station.
