Mayor Menino Had Basal Cell Removed From Nose
BOSTON (CBS) - While taking time to remember former Boston Mayor Kevin White this weekend, current Mayor Tom Menino sported a bandage on his nose.
According to the mayor's office, Menino was wearing the bandage because he had a basal cell removed from his nose Friday afternoon.
The cell, which is a sign of a common form of skin cancer, was removed without incident.
He underwent an outpatient procedure, and went right back to work that day.
