Last week, 45-year-old Dennis Jones stood up during the trial and called Kimani Washington, a key prosecution witness, a "rat" and a "snitch". He was immediately escorted out of court.
Police arrested him Thursday on charges of witness intimidation.
Dwayne Moore and Edward Washington are on trial accused of killing four people including a two year old boy.
Kimani is the cousin of Ed Washington.
Jones is not related to anyone involved in the proceedings. Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley says Jones claimed to be one of the victims' uncles.
Jones is formerly of New Jersey but has most recently lived in Dorchester.
