BRIDGEWATER (CBS) – A motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon following a crash with a dump truck in Bridgewater.

The crash took place just before 4 p.m. on Bedford Street at the intersection of Grove Street.

Police say that Michael Zewiey, 30,  hit the side of a 10-wheel dump truck that was turning from Bedford Street onto Grove Street. The truck was pulling a low bed trailer at the time of the crash.

Zewiey, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, had serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver, who works for a West Bridgewater construction company, was uninjured. Police said he was "visibly shaken."

Police are still investigating the fatal crash.
