House Speaker DeLeo Falls On Ice, Breaks Ankle
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - Massachusetts House Speaker Robert DeLeo broke his ankle after slipping on a patch of ice outside his home Monday morning.
His spokesman Seth Gitell said DeLeo was getting into his car when he slipped on the ice and hurt his leg.
He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was treated and released.
Gitell said the speaker was expected to miss a regularly-scheduled Monday afternoon leadership meeting with Gov. Deval Patrick and Senate President Therese Murray.
