Heave Ho... Out To Sea

Based upon review of the latest suite of computer models, the consensus is out to sea for the advertised storm. This solution makes much more sense than the nauseating output of yesterday. I failed to comprehend what the models were crunching through but we couldn't be certain if they had latched onto some important change in the complex atmosphere that man cannot identify. Consequently, their conclusions couldn't be all discounted although ingestion of some bogus data is possible. Nevertheless, I was nauseated and extremely hesitant to buy the results hook, line and sinker. Forecasting remains an inexact science and despite the faults of the computer models, I remain amazed how remarkably accurate they are in everyday prognostications.

There is no change to the forecast through Saturday. You can click on my morning blog for the full story. I am further reducing the storm threat here for late Sunday into early Monday. There is a lower risk of any spotty snow and rain showers along the coast Sunday afternoon and evening. It is doubtful that there will be any snow flurries for the Patriots game Sunday evening. I am not expecting anything more than a coating to an inch or so of snow if that over southeastern Massachusetts. After some clearing on Monday, there is still a higher probability of a band of backlash light snows later Tuesday into Wednesday.

Sorry snowlovers... keep THINKING SNOW!

Todd Gutner delivers his latest AccuWeather Forecast in a few hours.

Peace out.
