BOSTON - (CBS) A small gift at the gas pump this week.

AAA of Southern New England reports for the first time in four weeks, prices are down one penny to an average of $2.79 a gallon.

Prices were $2.63 at this time last year.

Spokeswoman Mary McGuire says stable oil prices and low demand is keeping the cost of gasoline down.

Prices range from a low of $2.70 to a high of $2.95.
