Fenway Park Added To National Register of Historic Places
BOSTON (CBS) – Fenway Park has officially been added to the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places.
The Red Sox team celebrated the designation Saturday by unveiling the National Register plaque during a pre-game ceremony.
Fenway Park has been home to the Red Sox since 1912.
It is the oldest venue used by any professional sports team in the United States.
Listing in the National Register makes Fenway Park eligible for federal historic rehabilitation tax credits administered by the National Park Service.
