With the baseball season rapidly approaching, Mike and Tony discussed an article from the Boston Herald's Ron Borges praising Boston Red Sox GM Theo Epstein. However, does the Red Sox large payroll hurt Epstein's credibility as a GM? Even Epstein acknowledges his advantages to having a surplus of payroll.
"Deep down every big-market GM would like to go to a smaller market and do it," said Epstein. "It's just a little bit purer. I know I have the best job in baseball, but you wonder sometimes."
