Fantasy Brief: Week 10 Quarterback Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

BOSTON (CBS) - Week 10 is here, and it kicks off Thursday night with Cleveland traveling to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.

With so many injuries and teams on the bye week, you're probably slapping together a roster right now with players you never would have imagined to start the season. But that's okay, because 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Keefe is here to help.

On Wednesday night, as he does every weeknight throughout the season, Keefe provided his expert fantasy advice in a segment he calls the Fantasy Brief.

Keefe has two quarterbacks to start and two quarterbacks to bench this weekend.

Start 'Em

Carson Palmer

"I'm going to give you two former USC quarterbacks that I like this weekend, starting with Carson Palmer. I sneaky like Palmer just about every week. He's been a lot better than people are certainly giving him credit for. Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd have individually been inconsistent all season, but it always seems like one of those guys has a good game. Sprinkle in a John Brown every once in awhile and Palmer also throws the ball to running back Andre Ellington. He missed three games due to injury, but the last five games Carson Palmer has played in here are his touchdown totals: 2, 2, 2, 2, 3. Every game he's had multiple touchdowns. He's only thrown two interceptions all season. He's been good all year long, plus they're taking on St. Louis and the Rams have been terrible against quarterbacks this year."

Mark Sanchez

"In a week where Tom Brady, Andrew Luck and Philip Rivers are all on the bye, I don't hate Mark Sanchez. This one could come back to bite me, because believe it or not backups tend to do better in the games they're thrown into rather than the ones they start, because they don't have to think about it all week and defenses don't plan for them. But Chip Kelly made Nick Foles look really good all last year, and Sanchez has Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy and Jordan Matthews around him. He's got good weapons around him. Plus it's a good matchup. They're at home against Carolina, who has given up a lot of points to opposing quarterbacks. I'd roll the dice on Sanchez if I could."

Sit 'Em

Eli Manning

"I don't like Eli Manning. This is a fairly obvious one. The Giants are at Seattle. The Seahawks haven't been as dominant on defense as they were, but it's in Seattle and the Giants are bad -- I hate Manning in that game."

Andy Dalton

"I know A.J. Green is back, but I still don't really like Andy Dalton Thursday night. He threw a couple of picks against Jacksonville last week. He's really struggled. He's only had two games this year over 300 yards, and one of those games was 301. He's had multiple games with zero touchdown passes, which is so rare in today's NFL. I don't like Dalton this week."
