Driver Charged After Crash On I-93 In Dorchester
DORCHESTER (CBS) – A driver is facing drunk driving charges in a crash on I-93 in Dorchester that left his passenger seriously injured.
Patrick Fay, 24, attempted to flee the scene after the crash at around 12:50 a.m. but was quickly apprehended by police. He faces charges of OUI and leaving the scene of an accident, among other violations.
Fay's passenger, 25-year-old Alyssa Connolly, was thrown from the car and taken to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
Crews closed down three lanes of I-93 for a few hours while officials conducted their investigation.
