CHELSEA (CBS) – Police have arrested a driver they say hit a bicyclist and five parked cars in Chelsea.

The crash happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Broadway Monday night.

Police say the driver, 18-year-old Joseph Piasecki, was high on drugs and hit a 48-year-old man on a bicycle.

The victim is now in stable condition at Mass. General Hospital.

Piasecki was also injured in the crash and taken to Whidden Hospital in Everett with non-life threatening injuries. A 15-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The investigation is ongoing and other charges may be filed.
