Doc Rivers Calls Bin Laden's Death 'Awesome'

BOSTON (CBS) – Doc Rivers is never one to mince words, so it should come as no surprise that the Celtics head coach found Osama bin Laden's death on Sunday "awesome."

"I was watching film, it was phenomenal," Rivers said before the Celtics practiced at the University of Miami on Monday. "It was awesome."

"It actually put things in their proper place when you're watching film," Rivers said of when he heard the news late Sunday night. "You're cussing to yourself, you're writing bad words on a piece of paper, and then this comes on; It was awesome."

"Just like 9/11, I think we'll remember this moment as well," Rivers added. "It was just really neat and great to see. It was just awesome."
