Colvin On Toucher & Rich: Surprised By Lack Of Pressure Put On Flacco

The last time the Patriots and Ravens met it was to see who would be headed to Super Bowl XLVI, and Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal in the closing seconds.

This time around it was rookie kicker Justin Tucker with the game on the line, and he put a 27-yard field goal through the uprights (or at least over it) as time expired as the Ravens beat the Patriots 31-30.

Former Patriots linebacker Rosevelt Colvin joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the Patriots loss, Devin McCourty, the Patriot pass rush, stopping the run and Josh McDaniels.

Looking at the game, some are criticizing the play of Patriots corner Devin McCourty. The corner struggled late in the game,  but if you take away some of the questionable calls it's a different story. What did Colvin think of the cornerback's play in Sunday's loss?

"I would definitely side with he played a decent game with what you're working with."

Sticking with the defense the guys went on to discuss the lack of a pass-rush. Was the plan to just go out against Baltimore and just rush four or was it a case of guy just not coming through and doing their jobs?

"That's definitely one of the things that was, not necessarily alarming, it was just surprising to me that they did not or weren't able to get as much pressure on Flacco."

The guys looked ahead to next week and the possible return of Fred Jackson to the Bills. The Pats had trouble stopping the Ravens running game, but was it more Ray Rice and Baltimore's weapons or should we expect the same issue against Buffalo?
