Coast-To-Coast Run Raises $80,000 For Marathon Bombing Victims

BOSTON (CBS) - A coast-to-coast run for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings came to an end early Monday morning on Boylston Street.

Several hundred runners crossed the marathon finish line just before 1 a.m. including Nicole Reis, whose father John Odom is a survivor of the attacks.

"It's a little overwhelming to be honest with you," Odom told WBZ-TV.

"He's worked so hard to get to today and I really wanted to do this for him all along and I'm so glad we were able to do it," Nicole said.

The One Run for Boston was a relay race that started 3,000 miles away in Los Angeles 24 days ago.

It was organized by three people from the United Kingdom as a way to raise money for the One Fund.

As of Monday morning, they had raised about $80,000.
