Coast Guard Tows Disabled Fishing Vessel To Provincetown
BOSTON (AP) - Officials say a U.S. Coast Guard cutter is towing a 38-foot fishing vessel to Provincetown after it because disabled about 23 miles north of town.
The Gloucester-based Coast Guard cutter Grand Isle began towing the vessel Knot A Care at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Coast Guard in Boston was notified that the Provincetown-based boat was unable to start its engines and was drifting into Boston Harbor traffic lanes. There were no responses to a broadcast requesting that mariners in the area provide assistance.
The two vessels are expected in port early Thursday, the Coast Guard said.
