Celtics Sign Abdel Nader
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics signed rookie forward Abdel Nader to a contract Saturday.
The terms of the deal were not announced.
Nader was the 2016-2017 NBA G League Rookie of the Year and averaged a team high 21.3 points per game. He also averaged 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and one steal per game.
The 23-year-old Egyptian native was picked in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft.
As the Celtics were inking a contract with Nader, they waived guard Demetrius Jackson.
