Bruins Neely: We Know The Expectations
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Bruins President Cam Neely joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger and Mazz Tuesday, and said he hopes the Bruins can get back to the point where playoff hockey is expected at the start of each season.
"When I came into the picture here in 1986 as a player, it was a given the Bruins were making the playoffs," Neely said. "It was accepted in the locker room and understood that we were a playoff team. That's the same kind of attitude and atmosphere we want to create here."

The Bruins have now made the postseason four straight season for the first time since 1995-96.
"We certainly know the expectations of our team, the expectations the city has of their sports teams," Neely added. "We're doing everything we can to meet those expectations."
With seven games remaining and the B's already locking up a playoff berth, Neely is hoping his team will focus on playing consistent hockey rather than trying to improve their seeding.
"What matters most is that we play as consistent as we possibly can going into the playoffs. Where we end up, we'll be happy either way as long as our team is playing the way we'd like to see heading into the playoffs."

"Obviously you'd like to be as high as you possibly can, for us it's more about playing close to or as good as we can play going into the playoffs."
