Patriots Reportedly Exercise 2018 Option On New WR Brandin Cooks
BOSTON (CBS) – The Patriots newest wide receiver appears to be sticking around for at least two years.
In an move that was not unexpected, the Patriots have reportedly exercised the fifth-year option on newly acquired wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
Field Yates first reported the news on Saturday morning.
As a result, Cooks is under contract for the next two seasons.
The Patriots acquired the speedy receiver this offseason in a trade with the New Orleans Saints.
