Boston Police K-9 Charlie Retiring After 12 Years On The Force
BOSTON (CBS) – A devoted Boston police K-9 officer is retiring after 12 years on the force.
Charlie is a Labrador Retriever and trained in detecting firearms and explosives. On his first day with the Boston Police Department he helped sniff out three guns.
The department posted a picture on Facebook of a cake and Charlie in a party hat.
"Thank you for always keeping us safe, Charlie," police said.
