Boston Catholics Happy Cardinal Sean O'Malley Will Return Home
BOSTON (CBS) - A Mass was held Thursday morning at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross celebrating Pope Francis I as the new leader of the Catholic Church.
In his homily, Bishop Robert Deeley praised the new pope and highlighted his humility.

The election of Pope Francis was apparently a relief for Cardinal Sean O'Malley. He was a reluctant front-runner to become Pope when the conclave began.

"I spoke to the Cardinal this morning, he is very happy, relieved first of all, happy in the choice," Deeley said.
Bishop Deeley says the Catholic community is anxious for Cardinal Sean to come home and hopeful that Pope Francis can tackle the problems of the modern church.
"He understands the challenge of making the Gospel livable to people," Deeley said.
