Bill Clinton to rally for treasurer candidate

 Former President Bill Clinton will visit Boston to campaign for Democratic treasurer candidate and longtime friend Steve Grossman.
 
Grossman's campaign announced Thursday that Clinton will attend a campaign fundraiser and rally Sunday at Boston's Park Plaza Hotel.
 
Grossman was the Democratic National Committee chairman while Clinton was in office and helped raise funds for Democrats across the nation.
 
Grossman's opponent, Republican Karyn Polito, has already brought in a national figure to campaign with her. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani offered his support for Polito during a campaign appearance in Boston's North End.
 
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will also be at Sunday's rally to offer his support for Grossman.
