WEATHER BLOG: Pretty Sunny

After highs were up near 70 yesterday, a brief cooldown is on the way for today and tomorrow before an extended warmup takes hold for the first week of November.

Today will start off pretty sunny with high pressure building in from the west. Another cold front will approach from the northwest this afternoon, but should pass through the area dry into this evening. That being said, there will be a few more clouds around during the afternoon as that front moves through.

In the wake of the front, it will be a colder night tonight as the area of high pressure basically moves right over top of us.

That will help get rid of any remaining breeze and will clear the sky out as well. Overnight lows will drop to near or above 40 in the Inner Harbor, but some of the coldest outlying areas will be in the upper 20s to near 30.

Saturday will be a pleasant, crisp start to the weekend as high pressure slowly drifts to the east. There will be quite a bit of sunshine, although there will be some clouds moving in during the afternoon as a cold front approaches from the west. With clouds increasing tomorrow night, it will not be as chilly as tonight.

Sunday will not be the nicest of days, but far from a washout as well. Clouds will tend to dominate throughout the day, with a few glimpses of sun here and there. The aforementioned front will slowly make its way across the area on Sunday with plenty of clouds. There may be a shower around on Sunday as it moves through, but the vast majority of the day will be rain-free and some of the latest indications are that the day will be completely dry. The best opportunity for a couple of showers may end up being Sunday night or Monday as a disturbance tries to ride along the front.

Right now, the better chance for showers appears to be Monday over Sunday, but rainfall amounts on Monday look to be pretty light.
