Maryland Weather | Power Outages, Flood Watches Continue After Storms

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A cold front moving through Maryland Thursday night brought heavy rain to the area on Halloween.

Flood warnings are still in effect Friday morning

Most of Maryland, including Baltimore and points to the west, were under an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms through most of Thursday night. The threat of storms was slightly lower on the Eastern Shore.

A tornado watch was even issued for most of Maryland.

The National Weather Service also issued a tornado watch until midnight for Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Mary's and Washington counties as well as Baltimore City.

The main threat now is flooding.

Thousands of people are currently without power as a result of the weather.
