HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The former chief executive officer of a burglar alarm firm is returning to prison for failing to repay nearly $1 million he embezzled.

The Herald-Mail reports that 55-year-old Curtis Pietro was sentenced Wednesday in Hagerstown to 20 years. He previously served about two years after pleading guilty in 2010.

Pietro still owes about $784,000 to locally based Glessner Technologies. He repaid $80,000 in 2010 and says he's been making payments of $100 a month.

Pietro told the court he has other financial obligations including child support and alimony.

Prosecutors say Pietro used the stolen funds for luxuries including trips to Paris and the Carribbean, a new house and jewelry.
