Study warns coronavirus pandemic could lead to 75,000 U.S. "deaths of despair"

A new study is warning that the COVID-19 pandemic could be followed by a wave of deaths from suicide and substance abuse. It predicts that economic hardship, isolation and anxiety could lead to as many as 75,000 additional deaths over the next decade.
