Texas Ten Commandments bill nears final approval

The Texas House has passed Senate Bill 10, which would require the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. The bill now returns to the Senate for final approval of a House amendment that shifts legal defense costs to the state if school districts are sued. If the Senate concurs, the bill will head to Gov. Greg Abbott, who is expected to sign it into law
