Texas Senate passes border security bills

The state Senate gave the go ahead to two bills aimed at securing the southern border. One would make it a state crime if a migrant crosses into Texas illegally instead of going to a port of entry to find an asylum claim. The other provides an extra $1.5 billion for the state to expand its southern border wall.
