Sherman officer adopts abused dog that lost an eye after pellet‑gun shooting
A dog in Sherman is recovering and thriving after police say she was shot with a pellet gun and lost an eye in an animal‑abuse case. While she was healing at a local shelter, a Sherman police officer and his wife met her and decided to adopt her. The dog, now named Olivia, is settling into her new home, where her new family says she loves checking on the chickens, chasing cows and playing outside.
