Senate approves measure to restore most funding to DHS, including TSA
The U.S. Senate voted overnight on a compromise to restore funding to the Department of Homeland of Security, with the exception of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol. Democrats had been pushing for that outcome with the aim of forcing changes to the Trump administration's deportation operations. The measure still needs to be brought up oin the House and signed by the president.
