Rising crime prompts street shutdowns in Deep Ellum on weekend nights
New safety measures are starting this weekend in Dallas’ Deep Ellum entertainment district, where police will begin shutting down several streets at 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in response to rising violent crime, including shootings, car thefts, and vandalism.
