Prosecution rests in Tanner Horner trial on Day 8 in the Athena Strand Case
For more than a week, a Tarrant County jury has heard testimony and seen and heard graphic video evidence of the days leading to and after 7-year-old Athena Strand's death. The prosecution has rested its case Thursday, on day 8. A jury will weigh whether Tanner Horner, who pleaded guilty to the 2022 killing of Athena, should receive the death penalty or life in prison for his crimes.
