North Texans pack drive-in to support flood victims in Central Texas

On the same day that North Texans mourned the loss of 8-year-old sisters Rebecca and Hannah Lawrence—remembered for their energy, imagination, and love of animals—hundreds gathered at Texas Motor Speedway for a drive-in movie fundraiser supporting flood victims in Central Texas. The event, organized by Speedway Children’s Charities, featured a screening of How to Train Your Dragon and drew more than 600 attendees. Donations exceeded expectations, with many giving more than the $20 minimum per carload.
