New whole‑blood program credited with saving Dallas officer’s life
Dallas police say a suspect is in custody after Officer Justin Jones was shot in the leg and rapidly lost blood. Fire officials say a new program placing temperature‑controlled whole‑blood coolers in supervisor vehicles allowed first responders to begin lifesaving treatment before he reached the hospital.
