Mother of slain Dallas officer files lawsuit accusing suspect’s parents of negligence
The mother of a Dallas police officer killed in an ambush while sitting in his patrol car in Oak Cliff in 2024 has filed a lawsuit accusing the alleged gunman’s parents of negligence. The suit claims they knew their son was stockpiling weapons at their shared home as his behavior became increasingly erratic. A pawn shop that allegedly sold firearms used in the attack is also named in the filing.
