Mesquite teens with special needs get prom‑ready thanks to student volunteers
Teens in Mesquite ISD’s Transition Program — which supports graduates with special needs as they build independence — were treated to a prom‑prep experience Friday. Cosmetology students from Poteet High School volunteered to style hair and help the teens get ready, giving students like Gianna Ramon a chance to enjoy a milestone night their families have long hoped for.
