Man caught smuggling live parrots in boots at U.S.-Mexico border

Customs and Border Protection agents stopped a man at the border on April 30 for attempting to smuggle live parrots into the U.S. The birds were hidden in his boots, and additional parrots were found in his vehicle, two of which were deceased.
