Large sinkhole forces closure along popular White Rock Lake trail

City officials are monitoring a large sinkhole that opened along a popular trail near East White Rock Lake, raising safety concerns for runners, walkers, and cyclists who frequent the area. The sinkhole, estimated to be at least 14 feet deep, sits just off the trail between Lawther Drive and Garland Road. Recent rain is expected to worsen the erosion, prompting the city to block off the area and keep a close watch.
