Lancaster artist modernizes Biblical stories in "The Encounter Gallery"

Russ Reed, a Lancaster artist, paints modernized Biblical stories using family and friends as models. Inspired by art museums, he began art classes at 37. His series "The Encounter Gallery" depicts moments impacted by Jesus. For his largest project, he recruited 12 friends to model the disciples' feet for a painting of Jesus washing them.
