Lake Worth ISD superintendent resigns as TEA takeover advances

Lake Worth ISD is losing its superintendent just days before the Texas Education Agency assumes control of the district. The school board accepted the resignation of Dr. Mark Ramirez, whose last day will be Friday after less than a year in the role. His departure comes as TEA has already appointed a conservator to oversee the takeover and is preparing to install a new board of managers and a new superintendent.
