Judge L. Clifford Davis, North Texas civil rights leader, dies at 100

Judge L. Clifford Davis, a North Texas leader, passed away today at the age of 100. He assisted Thurgood Marshall in the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case that ended school segregation. Davis continued his fight for desegregation in North Texas, becoming the first appointed African American judge in the county to preside over a district court.
