Gov. Abbott signs bill creating permanent efficiency committee

Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law creating an efficiency committee. Unlike the White House's DOGE led by Elon Musk, Texas DOGE is permanent. Abbott says it will make the state government more efficient and less costly, including spending and regulation cuts.
