Gov. Abbott sending more state troopers to patrol capital city
In Austin, Gov. Abbott is doubling down on the Department of Public Safety's pursuit partnership with DPS after state troopers disproportionately arrested Black and Latino residents. DPS still has jurisdiction and is now pledging to send 30 additional troops.
