Federal court pauses mail delivery of abortion pills to Texans
A federal appeals court has temporarily blocked a rule that allows abortion medication to be mailed to Texans. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals halted the delivery of drugs such as mifepristone while a lawsuit from Louisiana moves forward. Louisiana argues the current federal rules let the pills reach people in states with abortion bans, including Texas.
